Art and creativity have clearly defined Barbara's life for as long as she can remember, inspiring her to not only live a creative life, but to also pursue art professionally.  She is a painter, jeweler and mentor to countless number of students throughout her distinguished over 25 year career as an art educator, art professor and workshop presenter.

Barbara's paintings and jewelry are inspired by her lifelong travels of the world, her relationships, her keen interest in symbolic expression and her affinity for the beauty of nature.  Barbara works in a variety of media, but her paintings are usually mixed media using acrylic, watercolor, collage, and other enrichments.  Her jewelry is primarily silver, often embellished with stunning gemstones.  Each piece is boldly unique ranging from classic to the exotic to a touch of nature. She uses a wide variety of creative techniques to achieve her artistic designs.  Barbara's goal is that the wearer of her jewelry feels like she is wearing a beautiful and special work of art.

Barbara believes as an artist and human being, that continual growth is vital, and as such, she loves the challenge to spread her wings and take risks for herself and her students.  It's an ongoing process and a joy in life.
